LASER TREATMENTS

 There are many Laser treatments on offer on the market to date

but depending on what you are looking for will determine where you go to seek the correct advice. 

 

What is laser?

Laser works by producing a short pulse of intense light, it penetrates so deep into the skin, its absorbed by the pigment. The light breaks up the pigment into tiny fragments, the laser then pushes those fragments back down deeper into the body & they are removed by our bodies lymph & waste system. 

Our bodies will recognise these fragments as waste so they will be eliminated through our sweat, urine & faeces. 

 Laser sometimes may not be successful, even after several sessions, unfortunately laser doesn't always recognise all colours so often colour is left behind.

Tattoo removal can take several sessions depending on the depth of colour & size of the design.

Sessions are usually 6-8 weeks apart, this allows for the skin to heal, the pigment to break down before we continue with the next session.

Laser is also recognised not only for tattoo removal but also for its fantastic ability to remove unwanted body hair. 

By using a laser beam to emit the light, its absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle. The light energy converts into heat, damages the follicle and works towards reducing the future hair growth.

Laser hair removal is not considered "permanent" as some hair growth is likely to occur between sessions, however it significantly reduces, in some cases, only a top up session maybe needed, for example, 6 months down the line. 

Hormonal hair growth is a lot thicker & courser, this means the chances of permanent hair reduction is slim however a reduction up to 50% is possible.

Hair removal is likely to be needed in 6-8 sessions to see the desired result. These sessions are booked 4 weeks apart with possible waxing in between to remove the dead hair.
